Registration & Placement
At Young People’s Ballet Theatre, we believe that one-on-one communication is critical for a successful experience, therefore registration cannot be completed online.
The registration process begins with a discussion between the parent and the School Director. A recommendation for initial placement will be made based on the student’s goals and current level of experience. Final placement will be determined by the appropriate faculty after the student has completed several classes.
The YPBT curriculum is carefully designed to ensure continuous progress. The number and types of classes are structured to complement each other at each stage in the dancer’s development. Students are promoted to the next level based on a number of factors, including age, technical ability, and physical readiness. Students should expect to spend two or more years at a particular level before moving on to the next level.
To register please call 810-230-1355 or contact us.
Our Tuition Assistance Program is designed to help lessen the load of tuition, and consists of work positions for parents and older students. Positions vary from year to year, based on current needs. Applications are available from the Executive Director in the fall. Positions are limited, and awarded on a first come first served basis.
YPBT accepts new students throughout the year. For information about tuition rates and class placement, or to register, please call 810-230-1355.
